  • allowing Nazis and other right-wingers to fester in his community

Would you mind elaborating on that? Is it that these people are in his YouTube comments, maybe on a subreddit? I never followed this guy, I’ve only seen probably less than 5 videos he’s made (likely only 2), one of which was this open source video.

Originally I avoided the guy because he was just a “loud is funny” let’s player, then I heard he said the N word, and i had heard people trying to get him to be the #1 YouTube channel over some music conglomerate.

In any case, while you can do things to attract certain people, I’m not sure how much control you have over your community, which is why I’m asking.

  • Even if people believe that (and I know they do 🙄) that then gives you a niche for a private business to fill. City store always busy? This private store is more expensive but you don’t have to wait in line as long. People will pay that difference to save time, especially in NYC.

  • In your example, if bluesky goes you lose it all (until/if their form of federation actually exists and is usable). If the Mastodon server I’m on (toot.community, because I like the name) goes, you move to another or host your own and keep on trucking.

When reddit did their API shit i left and lost the account, subreddits, apps, everything. When Lemm.ee announced it’s shutdown i moved to lemmy.zip and picked up exactly where I left off.

  • If i thought enough people would buy my shit I’d be on there too (I’m a guy). You mean to tell me i could potentially become rich by taking naked pictures and videos? It’s pretty saturated now, but even then most of them are making good money, and they’re not even dealing with it, they’re paying other people to handle the page and messages and whatnot.

The other option? Going to school, learning a skill, applying for a job, and maybe making enough to get by.

Edit: wait a minute this is just a bot account spamming questions.
