Yup, legal problem is there. Not being a lawyer, I see this as a complicated bunch of problems no one is going to solve to the benefit of everyone who actually made this possible (artists, programmers, social media users etc), which is sad (right now I don’t even have the strength to swear)

because I am not switching. another Linux project gives out some suspicious sounds, so I find myself thinking that moving to another OS altogether might turn out a good idea after all, besides the fun of learning something new

As far as I have gathered, gnome customisation is “fuck you, go patch our code. Besides, we’re gonna change it whenever we want”. So kudos for everyone behind extensions, but that’s a shitty policy to have for gnome devs

Depending on what you mean:

• yes, the more popular Linux becomes, the more malware will be written for it, no doubt
• how Linux is perceived is up to us as a community. There already are immutable distributions and filesystem snapshots, but will we advise them according to user’s needs or just send everyone new to Linux straight to Arch and arcane magic. The latter has been happening for ages now, but how big a phenomenon it is, I have no clue
