Yeah, “because fun” beats everything else :)
Just today I got yet another insight about my own life along the lines of “it doesn’t matter that much what I do, but rather how and why, and with what level of awareness”

Depends on the tradition and insight of those who are alive
Tradition as in “we do this, because our ancestors did” is insanity, no questions there
Oh. Sorry, I got too serious :)
No, Windows as in “this setting is hidden under this menu, that submenu, here click to open another sub-window…”. This will happen any time a dev tries to arrange settings in logical way (instead of flat list of toggle and input boxes), because “logically belong together” and “actually often used together or one after another” are not the same, and also dev logic, internal system logic and user logic are also three different things. Result - mad maze
Which is why many tinkerers like CLI - at least one can run man something or something --help in most cases
Which is why in my Windows days I got a habit of turning computer off with Windows + R --> shutdown -s -f -t 0
Windows just works, my ass :)
they can be automatically moved to have parent 1 or something like that, so only way to kill them is a reboot. But personally I am yet to setup a stationary (uh, not a laptop) computer and see how it works for me without poweroff at the end of the day
Windows:

And the unprecedented destruction of privacy will be used to detect people who need help (read: about to become a murderer/commit suicide etc etc) and provide the required help to them, right?

With you at every step.
Oh, and about that prescription. I know an old French prescription that would suit our needs just fine

Lol. Negativity around AI has done damage, but draining water and electricity in magnitude not seen before has not?
P-lease

About sums it up:)

So you have no evidence or anything else of substance to prove that your statements are true. Have a good day

Lol. Once again: I am not getting an explanation, see hallucinated functions and packages (that never happened, right?)
I know what I am doing, which is exactly why I get paid for my code.
And we know a lot more about how we think than you imagine, lol. Like, humans do not think in words. But you did not know that, did you?

Except you are not getting an explanation. Sheesh, do we really need to go all over the “token prediction machine is unable to understand” iteration, again?
Well, at least we can agree GNOME devs aren’t someone either of us would like to work with
Missing features? Be grateful for it!

Well…
case 1: I know beforehand that this is going to be an interview to look at how good I am at reasoning. No problem, give me the question about bus to fill with balls
case 2: this is going to be a more informal interview, question goes in the same list as “your name, what were you doing at your previous job, did you work with X… by the way, what about switches and bulbs” - nope. That means interviewer did a lousy job at preparing for interview, so who is wasting whose time - up to me to decide on the spot

No shit, Sherlock ©
Hence my question above
Let this sink in, mr. clown
