Two things to bear in mind : just because you see a box that you can put text into, doesn’t mean that you have to fill it with text every time.

This person is asking you to demonstrate your knowledge of linux programs and curation of good programs, and trying to find a piece of software that is more obscure than what they found. If your response to that request/question is what you put as a reply, than you don’t have the adequate knowledge of the kinds of linux programs out there for media playback, and aren’t a good curator.

I do understand that you might want to encourage someone to be more in line with your views, but you’re not accomplishing that, you’re just showing you lack knowledge.

There’s always bad shit happening somewhere. I specified this timeframe as it signified an end to the looming threat of nuclear annihilation and before the start of the “war on terror” which signified a start of a ramping up of civil rights abuses in the west.

My view is biased towards the west, but everyone has their own frame of reference. I am entitled to my frame of reference, as are you, and you are free to post your own timeframe you believe is “good while it lasted”.

help me. I am stuck working in SDET and my job makes me do a cert every 6 months that’s “no code” and I need to transition to writing code.

I’ve been SDET since 2013, in c# and java. I am so fucking sick of selenium and getting manual testing dumped on my lap. I led a test team for a fortune 500 company as a contractor for a project. I can also program in the useless salesforce stack (apex, LWC).

I am the sole breadwinner for my household. I have no fucking idea what to do.

I looked it up because your comment prompted me, and you know what, while it’s still not MC Escher, he’s made a lot of improvements from the 00s/10s.

It’s still not very original, but at least he’s pushing his ideas further and using a mixture of techniques and achieving higher fidelity images.
