For those willing to stake their lives on surviving what the IOM says is the world’s most dangerous migration route, European deterrence means little.

Nevertheless, the European states most exposed to departures from Tunisia and Libya, principally Italy, have adopted increasingly punitive measures. Under a new Italian bill approved earlier this month, the country can indefinitely prohibit boats from entering its waters “in cases of grave threats to public order or national security”.

Well, it shows that Europe is one of the most desired places all over the world. We have to find ways to allow people to vote with their feet but also be honest about why Europe is so much better.

I think it’s more about the general bombing all around; Russian bombing, Israel bombing, USA bombing. They don’t quite hit the EU itself… but they are bombing around (except the side where’s the Ocean and North Pole: they don’t bomb those).

Not yet, but once they realise Santa is living up there, they’ll find a reason to bomb the north pole too

Bearded socialist that gives out free stuff, even wearing a red coat all the time, ignoring international airspace regulations and borders? Yeah, I’m not betting on him either.
