    We should privatize the space industry even more!!! What could possibly continue to go wrong?

      I’m in no way supportive of privatizing spaceflight, but this ignores the reality of the many, many catastrophic explosions that have occurred among publicly funded rocketry programs. Turns out strapping a capsule to a giant bomb and trying to control it while it explodes is pretty dangerous

          But all the agencies responsible for SLS (NASA, Boeing, Northrop Grumman, Lockheed Martin) have lengthy histories of engineering and construction of rocket systems and have had their fair share of catastrophies. Blue Origin does not have that history.

      the thing is that the space industry was already in the hand of the NASA for like 5 decades and they did not manage to reduce the launch cost as much as spacex did.
