    Yeah, I’ve booked flights and made sure to check / clear all the relevant checkboxes. They then dress this up as ‘important information about your flight’. If it’s that important, why is there still an ‘unsubscribe’ link???

      There are a few places that have ‘critical’ or ‘essential’ account information that is just junk and promotional nonsense, and they don’t even offer an unsubscibe link because ‘it’s information regarding your account’.

      I forgot that Budget Rent-A-Car does this. Book a car, skip the $10/day this and $50/week that, get a confirmation, immediately get ‘did you forget something’ and every couple weeks ‘make sure you have everything’ that does this. There’s no CS I could find so I ranted on their Twitter page, and it’s ‘important information’ so they ‘don’t offer an opt-out’ to ‘help their customers’. Then you get to that rental counter and it’s like a freaking robot on repeat, trying to upsell you the same crap, one more time…
