none of the parties on offer improve people’s lives, yet people vote for them anyway. i dont think that’s the purpose of AFD in the grand scheme of things anyway, they’re there to push the CDU and SPD even further right and further normalize racism and fascism.

I don’t know if they’ll be able to do that though because a large amount of the voters aren’t voting for them because they are racist or fascist.

Well to organize a fascist putsch you do need supporters. So it kind of does matter.

So you’re unhappy they got elected but none of the parties do anything? It’s exactly that outlook that got the AfD elected. Every single far right voter I’ve met has that outlook, either they’re not voting or they vote for the far right, because no other party does anything anyways.

i’m unhappy they got elected, but since the alternatives are also far right parties, i’d be unhappy about those getting elected too. and i’m observing that when so-called mainstream political parties refuse to actually do anything for their people, the people will vote for someone offering something. since there are no communists, the things on offer are a) status quo (people hate this) b) even more unhinged nazi shit

then there are the people who have lost all hope for anything good coming out of politics, so they just vote for whoever infuriates the “respectable” political class the most.

Yeah, I agree but what is an alternative because I haven’t seen any radicals offering anything new either.

there’s no strong emerging political movement in europe that’ll get us off this death train, i’m afraid. we’ll immiserate the european proletariat and cause even more death and destruction abroad, until europe hollows itself out so much that it cant even make guns anymore. or until some saner country stops us, like they did last time.
