Supposedly people were surveyed from over 80 countries, which is going to include poorer places where moving to the Gulf for an untaxed office job or even “menial” labor is aspirational. I can guarantee most respondents here in Lebanon would rate them positively, remittances from expats in those countries is like half of our economy.

I’ve spent a fair bit of time in these countries for work myself, with obviously some good and some bad experiences.
