Semi-serious answer: Sometimes your PC has only two working monitor ports, and you choose to solve the “need more monitor space” problem by getting bigger monitors.
The way I have my two monitors set up is fairly similar to that single curved display, so I could see this being a natural upgrade path for me.
None of my GPUs have more than one HDMI port, so I set up
nccland tossed in a spare GPU.Sometimes the solution is to “upgrade” with old hardware that’s been obsoleted for a few years.

This really depends on your kernel. Try looking in
/var/log/messages. If you haveCONFIG_PSTOREenabled, you might have something in/sys/fs/pstore.Also you can put something like

I prefer two cheaper flat monitors side by side. When I need to I temporarily hook one up to a Raspberry Pi or whatever and look at it and my PC at the same time. There might be a way to splice two machines into one super-wide monitor, but this is dead simple.
I originally bought my superwide monitor to hook two machines into side by side. They generally have two sets of inputs that makes this easy.
If you’re working in the Linux console alone, you could also
sshinto your Pi and, for instance, have your local machine on virtual consoletty1and the Pi ontty2, switching between them with ALT+Fx. Still only one monitor. 😜Ah but how do you enable ssh if you’ve forgotten to enable it (again!) from the initial firmware load on the SD card…?

Now that I think about, you could use a dual HDMI picture-in-picture setup off of the same gpu and you would get a second monitor contiguous with the first, and you can set and forget for your Raspberry Pi projects.
