I wonder if anti monopoly laws would apply to those independent contractors?

where is the boundary between a sufficiently powerful union and a monopoly on labor?

A monopoly on labour is not a thing, because labour is not a resource that is controllable by anyone in that way. (Excepting slavery and feudalism)

a sufficiently broad non-compete can absolutely control labour supply, unless /until it is deemed unlawful

Jumping Redditor living in a world where capital has all the power and labour is effectively crippled: “what if labour hypothetically somehow goes too far and becomes the real enemy… Yeah that would be bad… Best keep things like this just in case”

          A monopoly on labour? Lmfao

That would unironically be the most based thing ever, because all labour would become class conscious and form a monopoly. Capitalists can get fucked

Let me clear this up for you. Workers are people and the hours of their lives are not a commodity like bushels of wheat.

A democratically-operated “monopoly” on labor would be a democratically-operated society, not a cartel akin to a commodity monopoly.

you know what is an attempt at monopolizing labour? AI subscriptions, if they did achieve what they claim to be.

What they are doing probably falls under anti cartell law rather than anti monopoly
