LOL I’m not from Germany. I do read a lot about the denuclearization experiment Germany is doing so I’m aware of that. I also study macroeconomics, it’s a passion of mine. I only have a bachelor’s degree but never stopped studying. These are all my opinions not absolute facts of course.

All of Germans automotive companies trimmed hair count. They can’t cut electricity cost. These companies are on a downward spiral heading towards extinction and the German public is the cause of it. Instead of these companies focusing on competing with China, the insane electricity costs are forcing them to figure out how to even compete at all.

I love German cars and I would hate for them to disappear, but when the entire government and public is so idiotic what so we expect? It’s over for them. It’s over for German manufacturing. Hopefully you all blame yourselves this time instead of others!

German auto makers cannot compete anymore because the cost of their cars need to be 10-30% higher than the competition because it costs that much more to make a car due the electricity costs! EDF posted 5.2 billion profit in 2025, record 11 billion profit in 2024. Where do you see them losing money? Imagine having lower prices and more profit while having clean energy? Nuclear is a part of that formula ESPECIALLY for an industrial country like Germany. Alas, Germany went the other way and it’s people will fail to realize the consequences of this until it is irreparable. Industry will die, people will be poorer and Germany will be worse of. We can see this in 10 years. German auto makers already can’t compete (literally can’t make cars cheaper due to electricity cost that need to be passed down to consumer) with Chinese automakers. This is simple economics no?

Well the reason the fossil fuel plants (coal, gas, oil) are needed is because nuclear energy was taken out of the equation. Look at francez they don’t have the same energy issues like Germany

My friend, you must learn about free market and supply and demand. You must learn about how communism killed millions in Russia and China. Europe is close to that. Just look at this summer. In the USA people don’t die in the streets because of heat because the free market was able to solve the issue long ago. The free market saw that people were uncomfortable in the heat so they created air conditioning. The free market then protects people from the heat. And in Europe people don’t think, the regulations don’t allow you to be creative and innovative so people didn’t install air conditioning because the regulations and socialism wouldn’t allow you to have it. So now look at how many people die and look how many people will die next year and the year after that. The only way to save future Europeans is by free market capitalism principles. I will pray for you all. Hopefully one day you will stop your Communist ways that kills your own people because it’s really sad.

Idk, renewables won’t help you when the sun’s not shining in the winter. Renewables won’t help you when the winds are calm in the winter. When the winter comes and you need to heat your own home, you like all the rest of your countrymen will be depending on fossil fuels. Don’t forget about the future heat waves Europe’s about to experience, you will need more electricity to cool down your homes because you did not have the foresight like Americans who actually think that summers are hot and need to cool people. That’s the difference is you need to think!

My friend look at how many poor people died in Europe because there was no investment in the electrical grid and into cooling your cities. In the USA we would not allow that to happen because capitalism actually cares for people’s well-being and people know that they wanted to stay cool so they were able to buy that. In Europe, your regulations don’t allow you to do anything and there is no innovation and so people died. This is no different than what happened in communist Russia when so many people die because there’s no food because there was no innovation.
