Correct. That’s how boycotts work. The people of Russia should increase pressure on their government if they don’t like current outcomes. Nobody is blaming them personally but putting any money into that economy ends up killing innocent people in Ukraine.

Compared to windows on the same machine maybe. It won’t be anywhere near a Windows arm or especially Apple arm machine. They’re nuts. Linux still worth the battery hit anyway for many people.

231·10 days agoNormal people fantasize about winning the lottery and having a few million mostly so that they can stop participating in the rat race, quit their job, have more time for creativity, have more time for family, have more time to be human. The fact that these people blow past that, and continue to want to hoard wealth shows how sick they actually are. If they were hoarding literally anything else nobody would question it. They do not work harder than everyone else.

Technology@lemmy.world•Nearly Half of Europeans Want X Banned if it Continues to Break the LawEnglish
6·14 days agoI’m not clicking the link to read this but these sort of headlines are often a result of their survey intentionally wording things like this to spin the narrative. Anyone who does in fact want it banned immediately would still say yes to the question. I’d suspect there are many such folks across Europe.
Only as useful as your input and depends on the impedance of your headphones. I disagree, I think it makes a huge difference depending on setup. Everyone’s hearing sensitivity is different though. I do think people should try to hear for themselves before jumping to but anything.
Will sound better too. A cheap FIIO or even Apple dongle sounds noticeably better, more power delivered.
I’m ok without the jack I think unless they’re going to also pair it with a high quality internal DAC like Sony.

That’s obviously not true in the modern era. The vast majority of governments do not initiate wars of conquest and have not in decades.
