That’s an excellent question, and much of the people here couldn’t tell you a good answer. Myself? I don’t see any triumph to commemorate, at all.

I’m shocked that any physical products ever got into the hands of the people who wanted then, I thought for sure it was a total scam. Apparently I was right, just not in the way I had thought.

Didn’t one of these trip and shake itself to bits?

This is great!

Also the sleep function on Steam Deck is pretty good. I bring mine to work and grab some offline playtime during my 15 minute breaks, and sometimes during my 30 min lunch after i eat. No Man’s Sky is chill and easy to pickup/putdown, Minecraft as well. I’m sure other titles would work as well.
I agree, the average situation is certainly rife with more nuance. For example, my young ones play Minecraft, despite that being implicated as a vector used by pedophiles to find and groom victims. However, I long ago did like you have suggested and limited the online options and communications my kids can interact with, as well as using that as an opportunity to speak with them about why those protections where in place.
My issue with Roblox is that as a company, they routinely downplay the role their platform plays in such crimes, and have actively prevented such activity from being stopped while taking no steps to filter or moderate such things from their end. Yes, parents need to do more then just hand a child a screen so they stop needing attention, but a platform that exploits predator usage is exploiting children.
Now some parents may not be knowledgeable about this, and I can understand that “you don’t know what you don’t know”. However, a parent who chooses to sour a family holiday because the whim of their spawn was not bowed to is not, generally speaking, a good parent. The combination of this with the usage of a pedophile-supporting platform aimed at children while clearly not setting healthy boundaries with the child, are the reason I would say this person is a bad parent. It’s not one factor, its the culmination of multiple that result in this reasoning.

So your sister actively consents to her son being on a platform riddled with pedophiles and expects you to be complicit as well.
You where nice, I would have told her she was a terrible parent, why, and then ask her to leave. I’ve become no-contact with toxic family over issues before, and I’ll do it again.

First choose a version of linux to install on it, then you can proceed.
No no no, an NFT purchase only means you own the concept of that NFT.
I learned that from Futurama.
They where roommates

Unfortunately the country I was born in, the USA, is also one that voted against the international resolution to define food as a human right. 😕
Yup. It was designed as a troll to get sword geeks to comment about the inconsistency and then call them out on it.

Depends on the car and the parking lot, for me. When I drive my mom someplace we use her van, it’s easier for her to get in and out that way. This van has a shorter front end, and no backup camera to compensate, so I back in and pull out of spaces so I have better views as I’m moving.
When I drive my sedan with my wife and kids, I pull in to spaces and back out, because the sedan has a much longer front end and a great backup camera/radar alert system that makes backing out of spaces the safer option.

I already communicate without speech, I’m doing it right now to someone I’ve never met and don’t know the identity of, who is receiving only the thoughts I wish to share. Why would I go beyond that?
Besides, I can also share thoughts with those I do know without speech. I text my wife when I don’t want the kids to hear our joke, I can even include pictures to get the message across if I don’t have the words.
Gooooood Morning Night City!
For that price I can get 3-4 Ender-3s and the same number of Raspberry Pi and make my own smart printers .

Be a librarian. I always felt like being a custodian to knowledge was a noble pursuit, and I respect librarians alot for it. I never went into the field myself because I couldn’t afford the schooling just to get a job that in my area, doesn’t pay very well. If pay wasn’t a problem? Hoo boy!

I have Finch set to auto-update, so I’m not sure if it gives you separate notifications for that.
To turn around and leave. If they don’t pay the servers enough that my bill is supposed to be their entire wages, I don’t want to find out what kind of food is served. Cost- cutting doesn’t happen in only one place when the boss starts penny pinching. Also, I don’t want to support a business that isn’t taking care of its workers if I can help it, and I’d rather go elsewhere.
Also the sheer amount of that example bill worries me, cause I don’t get paid enough to be spending $90 on a meal unless it’s at least 4 people being fed. I can cook for alot cheaper at home, and still have it be celebrating.
