One I can think of… I want to my local pharmacy last week to get an MMR shot, and was refused. They pretty much wont do it without a Dr’s order.

Applied for the job. Showed up for the interview. Showed up for the second interview, hired.
Helps that I have over 10 years of experience in that field, plus certifications.
Yeah, looks like fun.
Would probably be better to just grab the wires out the back and give them a good yank. The cameras are built to withstand hail and high winds. A few slaps with the world’s smallest hammer isn’t going to bother them much.
Personally, I’d go with a drone rigged with a spraypaint can.
Also, unrelated, but you can use a plastic water bottle to easily fill water balloons with stuff that isn’t water, like a paint/sand mixture.
I don’t think I could do a better Nazi salute on purpose.
Apparently a big part of Tesla’s business is selling carbon credits to other automakers… Which relies on them having a certain number of EV sales. If they drop below a threshold, then they can’t sell those credits anymore.
My brother has a model 3. It’s a nifty car. The advanced cruise control (not their FSD) is better than the Blue-Cruise in my Ford, and works on more roads. Build quality seems about the same TBH, although my brother may just have a good example. The Tesla charging network is expansive, and would be a major point to the Model 3, but other cars can charge there now, even older models can do it with an adapter.
Ergonomics-wise, I think the Ford is much better. Better controls on the steering wheel, has a “gauge cluster” instead of putting important info on the center display away from the driver’s line of sight, and it’s easier to open the doors, both from the outside, inside, and in the case of emergencies.
30k is abysmal for a car that had almost 2 million pre-orders. Clearly, there is huge demand for a vehicle like the Cybertruck, but not specifically the Cybertruck. A little hyperbole can be fun sometimes.
True, but they’ve also probably been paid enough to lie about it.
…A couple hundred CTs…
Gonna be hard to get the majority of them that have been sold to show up in one place at one time.
Police : Buddy, you are lucky it wasn’t something much worse, this one time, a friggin acorn hit my car and I…
Like 13 times less safe than a Ford Pinto, and ~50x worse (for fires) than another EV.
Punch Putin in the dick for fucking with our elections.
Find a convenient way to write off all of our 3 generations old tech.
Show that the shit America can give away for free enables a much smaller nation defend itself from (arguably) the second largest super power.
Yeah. We weren’t sending weapons and aid out of altruism. It was a pretty clear message. We sell the best damn man-killing equipment on the planet.
automated headlights are another.
Automated headlights should be banned. Whenever I pull up next to someone with their lights off and talk to them, the answer is always the same “I thought they were on automatic!”, and then they fumble about madly for a minute trying to find where the switch is at.
It takes one bump and you’re driving without lights for days. It’s even worse with DRLs since your “headlights” are always on, there is no major visual impact to the driver when their lights are off, but the safety aspects of DRLs I think outweighs the risks here.
For the record, I’m not saying automatic headlights are useless. They’re great if you are driving in an area that has a lot of light levels variations, like tunnels, or intermittent storms. They also are nice if you are driving during dawn or dusk. But… Automatic lights should be something you manually turn on and off, not a set-it-and-forget-it behavior.
Nope. Terrible.
2015 Honda - perfect. Buttons when I wanted buttons. Touch when I wanted touch, and I never had to use it when driving.
2023 Ford - Yeah, it’s bad and dangerous.
Easy. Log into their router next time I visit, adjust the DNS setting and redirect fox, oann, and facebook to actual news sites.
Hmmmm tough call.
Whichever pharmaceutical company(s) is hiking the price on insulin. The patent was fucking free, the product costs pennies to produce and distribute. No, 99.97% of the cost cannot be “R&D” for an old, mass produced drug.
Maybe also my old employer, which got laws passed to make them the only possible workers claim comp system in the state, then spun up a side business consulting for companies on how to use coding errors in medical billing to deny healthcare and compensation for people injured in their negligent and hazardous workplaces.
I mean, that is a whole level of evil I couldn’t stoop to on my worst day.
Generally, if no one is going to account for it, just cave. They’re one asshole out of tens of not hundreds of customers you will help today. The time it takes to enforce the policy is probably not worth the cost of whatever they are bitching about. Worse comes to worse, check with your manager, they are paid to deal with jackasses, and have the authority to override charges or deny transaction and eject the customer from premises.
