I just put a line break in in an edit. I’m replying here to make sure you pick that up.

I think it was editing /etc/default/grub and adding
`GRUB_GFXPAYLOAD_LINUX=keep
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT=“$GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT gfxrotation=3”`
Then regenerating grub.
It’s all working as expected but I couldn’t get Plymouth rotated without graphical glitches with a gui so I just go no GFX on the SSD decrypt. I think Grub rotates fine.
I do.
Storage yes, ram no.
(Single side NVMe or it’s too tight)
Omg I have the exact same laptop and have had the exact same issue. Apparently there is a quirk downstream to fix it in the kernel. I had best experience with Fedora and just disabling Plymouth and use no gui for decrypt. I think Grub is ok for me. DM me if you like and want me to check anything specific when I get home so we can compare notes.

Linux@lemmy.ml•Bazzite has seen a massive jolt in growth over the holiday season, surpassing 50k active users. The Fedora Atomic image has gained 38.8k users total in 2025 since it began counting in April 🥳
6·2 months agoYeah I struggled with reading my rom library over SMB so also had to install something else.
I very much wish I’d done this. I’m very happy with my system but it’ll be a slog if and when I need to set it up again.

2·2 months agoI use Gnome on the two in one. Two in one tends to be useful to occasionally watch a video in tent or some other orientation. The keyboard disable isn’t great but your laptop is likely better supported.
