Yeah, honestly not worth it.

What I like:
- Being in a smaller community of friendly like-minded people.
What I dislike:
- The constant reminders people post that the world is on fire and that there is not a fucking thing I can do about it. Lemmy (or at least the instance I’m in) does not seem to have any obvious filtering features. I end up needing to take a break sometimes.
Edit: Getting ahead of it before anyone says anything, I think it is important to post about current world events, and I outright encourage it. I simply just don’t have the greatest headspace and can only take so much of it.
I have used CachyOS and I can confirm that it is decent. I might give Bazzite a try next though.
Damn, Allen lost his eye 😭
I’ve been using Boost for Lemmy. While it is unfortunately only available in the Google Play store, it still has served me pretty well. I had previously used a different version of Boost back when it supported Reddit, but uhhh, we all know how that went. (Fuck Spez)

I wanted to get into IT (primarily computer networking), but I unfortunately could not deal with the customer service aspect and all the corporate bullshit that came with being in the field. Plus, it’s nigh impossible to get a job in the field now, even after getting a certificate and “doing my time” working at a call center (hate that shit.)
