I said enough is enough after their API policies. The site had already gotten continuously worse over the ages. Reddit has a bad reputation, but it did, at least, have value before all that. It’s been maybe 2 years? I feel discourse here is generally better, regardless.

Reddit remains one of the only reliable sources of safety advice, reporting, and guides on drugs. Lots of [deleted] nowadays. This is particularly concerning in aspects beyond this as well. Obscure software issues? Buying recommendations? Everyone always flocked to Reddit, and now it’s gone.

As an “atheist”, the aura of the psychedelic experience is bizarrely spiritual. I think I have some good scientific understanding of it, but it’s still extraordinary. They could be considered a “gift from God”, in a sense. There is something about the experience that inherently produces this feeling, and I think it’s explainable.

I also just find the idea of engaging with religion as a work of fiction quite fun. Spirituality has been entertaining for the same reason I love RPGs. I’m a therian, but believe therianthropy has a science to it. Otherwise, I wouldn’t be able to sense being one. However, the notion I was an animal in a past life, or had a past life at all, seems ridiculous to me. My brain chemistry is just bizarrely attuned to nature in comparison to others.

So indeed, mushrooms do exist, and they could be the closest thing we have to a God. I don’t know if that’s the best explanation, but that’s just my perspective.

Quite surprised to see Ukraine doesn’t have its own instance

I’ve been open to trying a trackball, and I definitely like the fact that it’s stationary. For the purpose of gaming, the trackball does have a chance at replacing a mouse for me. I prefer thumb flicks, like on controllers, compared to mouse movement.

I’ve been fortunate enough to use a trackpad on macOS, which works very well for a wide variety of reasons. It’s not for gaming, though, unless you want to pull a Wii and treat the trackpad as its own controller, with gimmicks.
