  • The thing is. Replacing humans with robots should never be a bad thing. We should work less and have the same living standards.

However our world is currently setup so that without a job you suck. Even in civilised countries where you still have access to health care and support from the government so you don’t starve to death or have to leave your house.

We need to improve the quality of live for the job less so that layoffs aren’t a bad thing anymore.

Also if you can live without working the average pay check will raise.

  • Uff, that one is difficult.

In theory all Linux distributions support the same hardware. Its just that sometimes you need to manually install drivers and configure sth. And on Other distros you don’t need to do that for certain hardware.

I guess Linux Mint is usually pretty good at default support, but of course not everything will work.

Now about if certain hardware has Linux support:

Check if the manufacturer is claiming Linux support. This is the best case, you can assume it just works.

If there is no mention about it from the manufacturer it is still possible to have support. Use an online search machine and enter “specific hardware Linux support” or use linux mint instead of linux so that you can be sure it works for your distro.

    What usually works almost always:

Motherboards(except if they are a few months old from release)

Keyboards (unless they are gaming keyboards with special tools like razer, then only the normal keyboard functions are working without special config)

    Monitors

Grafic cards (they don’t work from day one release, you should always wait a few months)

The entertainment value of LTT is there.

And also some informational. I don’t care about the drama and don’t think Linus is a saint or shit. The videos are good usually. The rest I don’t bother.

And the other one is is a genius, almost saint with anger issues and an enormous enrichment for the world community.

  • Dns is annoying ti find as a bug on my home system. The ip changes every few days. So until then it works.

I have a dns updater but updating it without checking the notes, like I do usually, resulted in breaking the current configuration. And I had to figure out how to configure it again.

Now it works and I don’t update it anymore

  • DNS

A server where you ask what IP is connected to the letters you enter in the browser.

    VPN

A way to connect to someone else’s pc and Internet.

The issue that I had with dns was for example connecting to the router.

It has a url like fritz.box so you get to the UI. Now with a vpn this won’t work, because the router is circumvented and can’t redirect your DNS request to its own ip.

However the ip of the router still works.

So you must know that when using a vpn you have the dns of the config in router of your vpn provider. You can overwrite that on various places but it is a bit confusing.
