Not really. When you program you break down the problem into many smaller sub programs and then codify them. There are errors that need debugging. But never “how does this part of the program I wrote work?”. Reading code from someone else is less fun than writing, but you can still understand it.
There are some cases like detergents, apparently until recently we didn’t know exactly how it works. But human engineered tools are not comparable to this.
I mean it implies that they CAN start with the conclusion or the “thought” and then generate the text to verbalize that.
It’s shocking to what length humans will go to explain how their wetware neural network is fundamentally different and it’s impossible for LLMs to think or reason in any way. Honestly LLMs teach us more about human intelligence (or the lack thereof) than machine intelligence. Like obi wan said, “The ability to speak does not make one intelligent” haha.
But how is this different from your average redditor?
You know they don’t think - even though “It’s a peculiar truth that we don’t understand how large language models (LLMs) actually work.”?
It’s truly shocking to read this from a mess of connected neurons and synapses like yourself. You’re simply doing fancy word prediction of the next word /s
You need peace / security, a modicum of prosperity, and education / information from independent news. There are no shortcuts.
Basically both Israel and Palestine are fucked because of decades of neglect and neoliberal and racist policies.
Nah you’d have a chimney. The main reason I want a “separating drying toilet” is that it would have a fan and wouldn’t smell at all in your bathroom. And you’d probably also have a separating toilet as first step, then dehydration which can be closed cycle, and then either burning or compositing. And with that and biodegradable soap and detergents, sanitation becomes much less infrastructure intensive.
The only thing smart I want is a faucet that activates with button OR the knee / foot sensor, and gives water always with a precise programmed temperature and flow.
That and a temperature and timer controlled frying pan.
Well an incinerating toilet that just dries burns my shit using a 340W solar panel would be cool too.
Haha I imagine they need at least unique ip addresses to count. Now I wonder if for clicks to count you need to properly click through and load the target website with the same “browser fingerprint”.
Interesting, was wondering about this. This would also “help” the websites with more ad income right?
Any spices or sauces?
The USA was a rogue terrorist state already for decades in it’s meaning for foreign policy and illegal wars. They did a worse thing than Russia did with Ukraine when they invaded Iraq and Afghanistan with flimsy excuses, except it was not a country on their doorstep but on the other side of the world.
Nobody is “aware” of this. People continue talking about US doing this or helping that as if they were not a rogue state.
So far Trump hasn’t done anything irreversible “rogue state” in regards to international relations. He constantly sprays shit everywhere to get people to loose their minds. Yeah he’s threatening to invade any nation where they could plunder, but he’s only saying the quite part out loud. The US has been doing that for decades.
I also don’t believe (hope) that Trump actually will start a war. It’s not his stage. It’s a long complicated affair where he isn’t in the spotlight and doesn’t get to shine and control the narrative with chaos and then hop onto the next thing the next week. He might bomb this or that as long as it’s quick to do, but he only wants to appear as the big man. Obviously this is just speculation.
If you mean “failed state” or no longer a democracy, I don’t think people think that already. They assume they can vote again for another obama / biden type in 4 years.
You could also use a rotating space habitat to catch cargo pods shot from the moon and use or redirect them. I believe you can balance your rotation speed and orbit velocity by catching cargo pods on different positions in the orbit around earth and on what side of the space habitat you catch it. Basically making it a giant battery of rotational energy that can throw pods without needing chemical energy.
Is this real? Or has somebody debunked this? It sounds a bit sketchy with the recent woo-woo science scams, and with the CEO Richard Dinan not having any degree or even finishing high school.
Fundamentally it might be possible to have a non sustainable fusion reaction that requires more energy in than out, but that produces great impulse. But I haven’t found anything that explains how it’s done. And then the question becomes how they supply the power needed to do fusion and direct the output into one direction.
I’m “kinda hoping” that 1/6 gravity might be ok to live on, at least with some medical intervention, physical exercise or drugs. Even for space habitats it would be cool if we could adapt the human body to lower gravity like 1/2 g.
Hmm, also, if you can build rotating space habitats (which the moon would also enable to be build) you could also build rotating moon habitats underground. Like one continuous subway maglev train endlessly driving in a circle. Although building in space could be cheaper haha.
Nah the next president of the USA would just get the nobel peace price for not being Trump lol. Remember Iraq and Afghanistan?
Seriously? With everything going on this is what people want to rage about? How disconnected do you have to be?
Yeah just dig tunnels for living space. And no atmosphere so you could manufacture or mine resources on the moon and just shoot them towards earth with an electromagnetic railgun.
You’re basically arguing that a system shouldn’t support user friendly things because that would add significant burden to the programmer.
The quintessential linux philosophy. Well done! I mean, what is language? Why have named code variables? This is just a random array of bytes!
Better yet, teach AI to write code replacing specific optimized AI networks. Then automatically profile and optimize and unit test!
