Content (images, audio, text…) generated by GenAI. It’s slop not quality-wise, but because it’s mass-produced (as opposed to artisanal creations).
Not all slop is AI-generated, though - we had mass-produced content before GenAI, too. GenAI is just turning it up to eleven.

I’m still in the process of abandoning Reddit and barely started moving from Discord. Almost completely done with Facebook, though, and deleted Twitter while it was still Twitter.
YouTube will probably be the hardest to replace, and I’ll stay on Bluesky alongside Mastodon for a while.
I guess the hard-core fedi users are naturally overrepresented because they’re posting here a lot more often than others.

Because “right” and “good at winning debates” do not necessarily correlate.
I can’t win arguments because I’m bad at arguments.
By that logic, I would probably end up changing my beliefs every week or so or end up believing something absurd because someone who believes it is good at sophistry.
But then again, this is also why I try not to argue much. It’s a waste of time and just makes everything worse.
I will, however, hear people out if I think they might have some good points.
But if we can get the Alex Jones crowd on our side, that might include the Epstein administration :P

More of a vassal/satellite region than an outright colony (which would require a large amount of constant resource expenditure and military presence on their behalf), but yes, the US government likely wants this… or, more precisely, already has it and wants to keep it that way.
And that’s at least part of the reason why I’m on the fediverse and use Linux now.
Banning all car journeys under 20 minutes would not only be unenforceable (people will just make their journeys a little longer) and unpopular, but also superfluous and even counterproductive given the other measures that would make said journeys unappealing to begin with.
