In my case, It continues to feel like pulling military benefits when I did the bare minimum as a job when the market was shit. I don’t like pulling veteran’s discounts at restaurants/stores/etc. either.
Nah this char isn’t from Doki Doki Literature Club.
<3 i tend to writhe and thrash while asleep, so sheets tend to be my adversaries. If the zippers come undone, i will end up with a sleeping bag wrapped around my limbs.
I like it! It makes me want a semi-rigid sleepybag to cozy in without tangling.
Also: DIY roofing.

PyroNeurosis@lemmy.blahaj.zoneto NonCredibleDefense@sh.itjust.works•What's the big dea- oh no. Oh no no no.English3·10 days agoThere can be no way to know what we could have learned: Do different regions have specific manufacturing techniques? Were regional techniques based on local or Roman techniques primarily? How did soldiers decorate their personal equipment? Would it have been grandious (as wealthy samurai) or were they kept small to display the unit as a uniform front? Did the changes to individuals’ equipment get adopted quickly (like a new phone does today) or did they stick with their grandfather’s sword as long as it was “good enough”?
We may have some ideas of all this and more, but more data points means more patterns to recognize. And people love pattern recognition.

They made millions of gladii during the period those were the height of technology. We have almost no historic pieces because everyone just kinda left them to rust and recycling. Time takes its cut every year no matter what, and will take more should we let it.
We can make replicas if you wanna play gunsmif.
Yeah… malfunction…

In America at least slaves often raised their own masters. It was an entire category of enslaved people: house slaves.
Much like the European aristocrasy and upper crust left their children to governesses and wet nurses to rub elbows with the rest of high society, so did the Big Whites of America and the Carribean.
Welp, I’ve just called in sick to work: the stage is yours for the next four hours.
Lower Decks. A Star Trek animated series.
Don’t ask me more- I haven’t seen it and have no current plans to. I hear it’s good, though.
No? They’re just bird-people?
Bah! Use a particular state if you know it. Otherwise American serves as well as European.

But it may be more pathetic.
That and “Just take it! You’ve already earned it” don’t really help the scummy feeling I get when applying it.
