Agreed. The tagline “lightweight justice” always sounded strange to me as well. They could definitely go with a friendlier, more mainstream design.

Every six month or so, I move pictures from these folder to the folder for this years pictures: home/pictures/2025. So they disappear from my phone as well, which is great to free up space. This works great for me.

Buy this great piece of software, have tons of fun and never use third party VSTs again. Sound design, modulate everything, wow! You can run many Windows VSTs using yabridge. Reaper might be a good choice for a DAW as well, it’s a little more classic and has plugins and scripts for everything.
Off-topic:
I’m always tempted to write it out. The word is in everybody’s mind while we read the text. It gets so powerful if people decide to talk around it. But if the context is not hurtful, it’s just a word. Nothing happens. It becomes an insult if the mind of the one who says it or the one who reads it decides to make it one.
Plus the assholes who use it as a slur will say it anyway. We’re not achieving anything by erasing it from our bubble.
Well, that’s what I think about it. :)
I started on Mint and liked it so much that I never distro-hopped. Every now and then I think about trying an immutable distro. But then I remember how much learning I had switching from Windows to Mint and I get scared of losing so much time to learn about Aurora. What would your say to me?

We should not turn every random act of vandalism into a headline, hinting at russian involvement.

Great camera, enough storage, fingerprint sensor, headphone jack, fits in hand and pocket. This thing is close to perfect, new phones are scam.

I would love this to become a thing. Like a race to the bottom, how much information can you cramp into 2 watts and make it as stylish as possible. Take pride in a minimalist webpage.

Back then there was only the full version. I probably don’t use all the features all the time, but it’s so much fun to play around, discover sounds, modulate stuff, chain up effects and build little machines. It’s such an advanced piece of software, compared to any other DAW. So if you can spare the 300 bucks, then go for the full version! It’s definitely worth it and on summer sale right now.
Teppichbrand@feddit.orgto Linux@lemmy.ml•Music Production and Software Synthesizers/VST's under Linux8·29 days agoI had many VSTs on Windows. After making the switch to Linux, ported them using Yabridge. But I kept using them less and less. Now I’m on Bigwig and I hardly use any third party VSTs at all. Hell, I don’t even use 99% of my samples because Bitwig is so versatile. I usually take their native stuff and tweak it to my likings, and fast! So even if that is not what you asked, I recommend leaving it all behind and start fresh with just Bitwig. It really doesn’t need anything else to make music on Linux. And it feels great to let go of all the digital baggage.

Yeah, if the software is supported and your hardware is sufficient. I don’t run home automation so I don’t know. But evcc works great!
