I’m not even sure they are hitting civilians on purpose, but they’re definitely not taking enough care to avoid it. I mean, it’s not like they value Israeli lives as +1 and Palestinian lives as -1, it just seems more they they value Palestinian lives as +0.1, or possibly just 0.

Well, one solution would be to give Palestinians more rights so they don’t want to fight against Israel.

I don’t know who is in the right. I would say that the important thing is that, since both of them condemn Israel’s actions, and the argument about whether it’s a ‘genocide’ is purely semantic, it isn’t a useful or productive argument - serving only to divide people and distract from the real issue.

Every single act you do you do because you think it will benefit you in some way. Either that it will directly benefit you, or it will avert suffering, or it will make you feel virtuous, or prevent a sense of guilt.
