I’ll can talk about Vancouver a little, in the first decade of the 2000 the gov (mayor office ?) gave its ok to stop prosecuting and arresting people who take drug (not selling it). They stop financing « criminalizing tactics » and for a while it work however as the years pass (and as I understand it) they slowly reverse track. Now they’re saying there is an epidemic and people are smoking crack on the streets unbother by the police (who seems to use this new problem to ask for more money from the city).

Don’t get me wrong I think that decriminalizing is the only way and prosecuting a « 1 consenting-ish victim crime » take a lot of time for nothing. What you need is service and specialized help.

Where I live : 0%. There were one near my college only working in summer. There’s some in malls but they tend to be phased out when they rebuild/redesign the mall. However I’ve gone to Vancouver this year and there was a fountains at every two or three buildings in some posh quarter working all year round. Very weird for me

Don’t know. From what I can gather AirCanada refuses to negotiate the end of their operations in an orderly fashion. Like they ghost the union negotiators.

My take is that they wanted this cluster fuck to put pressure into their employees as a « negotiating tactic »

Just for everyone to know : AirCanada is trying to stranded a big chunk of it’s work force in other countries. They change some flight schedules so so some attendants will be stuck at Airports without hotel room or a way back to Canada. The Union tried to build a plan for the orderly ending of the operation, AirCanada negotiators left the table and ghost the union. Not only they’re assholes, they are immoral bastard

Not a glamourous one but at 14 my dad said to me « open a 401k » (or equivalent in your country). I laugh at him thinking I was better. Now I’m old and poundering why I didn’t listen to him.
