Nah he’s just trying his best lmfao, I was the same way until I learned not to do that
A year is way too long for me. I would at least give it a month, bare minimum.
I’m 22, and believe it or not, I actually lost 120lbs over the course of 8 years. I have a whole spreadsheet dedicated to my meals which shows me everything (Calories, fats, mono/poly, sodium, fiber, etc.) I try my very best to make sure I’m healthy, tracking everything down to the gram.
Right now, I’m averaging about 2000mg sodium a day, and the seafood also provides a sufficient amount of Iodine too.
Thank you for showing concern at least haha, you’re right that people need to build these habits early on.
Yes.
I usually wait until the 4th date to consider getting intimate with someone. Go to a resturaunt for your 4th date. I would personally hold off intimacy till then, but hey, if it happens then it happens, just focus on having a good time together until the moment feels right.

1·9 days agoYou’re completely disregarding the fact that they could possibly implement a malicious firmware update/supply-chain attack. Saying Apple is not capable of hacking their own systems is such a ridicoulously unbelievable statement.

11·10 days agoOh, so we’re going straight to insults because your ego got hurt? That’s cute.
Now explain to me this, how could I possibly show you one shred of evidence if their systems are proprietary? Oh right, I can’t because they don’t provide the source code to nearly any of their software.
See how this works?

21·11 days agoSaying Apple “can’t” put a backdoor into their own devices is an absolute claim, they’re the ones who control the software, so it’s possible in principle. Business incentives and bug bounties reduce the risks sure, but they don’t eliminate the pressure or legal mechanisms major governments can apply. Snowden’s documents showed that governments have methods to compel or exploit access, and implementation flaws or covert agreements can defeat cryptography in practice.
I do have a solid foundation in how these systems work. You should read the GNU Manifesto and learn about Free Software, it explains why blind confidence in a completely proprietary stack is to remain untrusted. No one should ever be this certain a proprietary system will always respect users rights.

1·12 days agoDo you really trust these proprietary systems to do what they say they’re doing? Sure, the key may be stored locally, but an OS backdoor or compromise could still exfiltrate it, giving users a false sense of security.

Linux@lemmy.ml•Is it worth attempting to make a libre version of QubesOS?
2·13 days agoThat would be interesting. Maybe a separate ISO could be created for someone like you. The only issue with using OpenBSD instead of Linux is that OpenBSD’s network stack is much different from Linux’s, which could potentially worsen your anonymity because so few people use OpenBSD. For now, I would at least try to provide optional non‑systemd Debian templates with OpenRC or runit. I do love the minimilist setup though, your other ideas are definitely noted.

Regardless, the app is proprietary. You shouldn’t trust it.

2·5 months agoDevice permissions? That’s not the issue. I think people just lack software knowledge and should learn the difference between proprietary software and Libre software.
If people understood how to check the software license and determine if it’s a free software license, that would cover almost everything they need to do to help us stop having this problem with picking the wrong software.

Linux@lemmy.ml•Is the FOSS world in danger of a corporate takeover, thanks to pushover licenses?
3·7 months agoDevelopers should choose a different license if they don’t want to free their code or go work on a project that’s inline with their values then. Poor them, I could care less. The GPL is made for YOUR freedom. Anything that allows a developer to not release their code because they don’t want to, well, that software becomes proprietary, which invades your freedom. Of course the GPL “restricts” those types of developers freedom to do whatever they want, how else would the software stay free? Don’t really understand what your arguement is here.
