I like that this comment is completely understandable if you speak Russian

Europe@feddit.org•Moldova detains 74 people over an alleged Russia-backed unrest plot around key electionEnglish
2·3 months agoSame playbook Russia tried in Armenia. Didn’t work out with the riots this and last year, but there are still 2026 elections and no doubt there will be more attempts.
Well I can confidently say not a lot of people have seen them so they are definitely not public 😎
That is interesting!
I wonder if future historians will join this series of disconnected (so far) conflicts under one umbrella of “World War 3” starting on 24.02.2022. Shit gets more and more global every day.

Europe@feddit.org•EU to fully end dependency on Russian energy by 2027, including phasing out of all Russian gasEnglish
3·8 months agoI don’t know. This is not a solution but a change from one dictator who already started a war to another one that hasn’t yet. Not to mention the fact that Azerbaijan magically increased their gas production the moment the EU decided to phase out Russian gas. It’s Russian anyway and Russia profits from it anyway.
There’s no quick and easy solution. I don’t have any suggestions. The EU wasted a lot of time already, best they can do is actually stick to their plans, gradually phase out any need for gas at all, and not waste any more time. Doesn’t really matter where they are getting it from.
All I’m saying is this RU -> AZ switch is not an improvement from a moral point of view and most likely not in a financial sense.

4·8 months agoThere’s no direct conflict at the moment and while Azerbaijan did their ethnic cleansing in 2020-2023, one might argue it’s been done inside their own borders so there’s no issue in the global point of view. But Azerbaijan keeps threatening Armenia with an invasion unless Armenia agrees to an extraterrestrial corridor through their territory, and one might argue empowering Azerbaijan with more gas money and influence over Europe might lead to an open conflict.

13·8 months agoBy switching to Azerbaijan gas instead, which is of course so much better

Worth it
