genuinely impressive given how lots of apps (and increasingly more of them, but afaik messaging apps generally still fall behind?) seem to require iOS 16 or later nowadays

even taking the pretense at face value, this would just be adults damning kids who are queer, autistic and/or in abusive households/communities (among others) and patting themselves on the back

Normally I keep a phone until severe hardware failure (spicy pillow, broken digitizer, not charging…)

The only thing that has gotten me to upgrade was the Boox Palma 2 Pro for it’s e-ink display specifically, due to eyestrain from reading on LCD, and my Galaxy A23 5G i received as a gift having its display start falling out (and fear of future storage/ram prices)

(technically almost a phone due SIMs only being supported for mobile data, but i use a flip phone for SIM-based calls/sms anyway)

it was possible to disable up to android 9 or so (required root) but nowadays it basically can only be disable on a per app basis (if the app allows you to, which most don’t)

worked around with a custom app for replacing the sharing menu (which can no longer be set to be the default since i don’t remember which android version, and sharing support with it can vary on a per app basis)

or globally by using a device which allows disabling it because of OEM customizations (i’m only aware of Samsung generally doing this, probably because iOS has a setting for disabling their direct share equivalent, and the sharing menu on my boox palma 2 pro doesn’t have it at all atm)

it’s really baffling how there’s no default google-implemented way on android to either disable it outright or manually delete outdated contacts from it

with windows 11 it depends a bit, there’s cpus you were able to install win11 with some workarounds but that due to missing cpu instruction sets can’t run newer builds

so the latest win11 major update running on a machine below official system requirements is no guarantee of the next one doing so as well

from this we can extrapolate that for cases of drug resistant depression we should, as a standard practice, prescribe estrogen and see what happens
