Seriously, who needs to record someone without the knowledge of the person being recorded? That’s a big red flag, a perverted character, there’s no other explanation. Creepy Mark Zuckerberg allowed other creepy characters to share personal moments with him.


When I first heard about them, I thought they sounded useful. I’m a photographer, and one of the challenges is not always having a camera handy when you need it, so the idea of a readily available camera for taking photos of birds, sunsets, landscapes etc, and the ability to use them as ear phones etc sounded kinda neat. I spoke to some vision impaired folk at my local parkrun who use them to help identify what they’re looking at, or read things they can’t read etc. This was in the early days, when I was still a bit naive about where they would go. To me, they sounded like nifty technology.
And then Meta cranked up the creepy spy factor, and people started doing really creepy things with them.
It shouldn’t have surprised me, but it did…
