Hell, I have legit companies that I haven’t done business with in years that send occasional 'Our terms have changed!" with no opt-out and it makes me want to break out the fire and dull knives. ;-)

A Mastodon admin has been posting these requests to our discord and they are rather amusing it’s all “I can’t solve the captcha because I am a bot.”
Can chatbots still not solve captchas? I never thought about it before.
Last time I looked into the issue (few years ago), they were sending captchas to real humans in labour-cheap places and having them solve them and submit them. I came up with alternate means of slowing down spammers for the Simutrans forum I administer - I found Captcha became useless (But also with the forum software, it only supported its own custom thing, not like ReCaptcha)
I think they phrase it as “not allowed to.”
So it may be an artificial block by the backend people.
I was messing around once just feeding some to ChatGPT with different phrasings and it kept saying it was not allowed.
I read somewhere that you can get them to do things not allowed if you just keep asking in different ways. It was on Jonh Oliver I think actually. Not sure if that works all the time or not.

I find this pretty hilarious. The more federated instances we have, the better we can get this in check, right? We can spread the load.
More instances mean smaller instances meaning more people dealing with fewer instances of the spam theoretically making each one have to learn the patterns and how to deal with it, so more instances might well make things worse.

I can’t imagine doing it for more than that, other than for specific goals like you mentioned. Now, I’ve never done the first and rarely do the second except as a prompt for a search engine, and most of my searches wouldn’t be considered a typical AI prompt, unless you’re Jean-luc Picard.
