When AI replaces jobs, we don’t celebrate not having to do the job because we only have our essentials covered when we work. We have a system that socializes the losses and privatizes the profits.
If we have Universal Basic Income, so we all got paid when AI does labor, people would be able to enjoy their lives free of stress. Unfortunately we live in a society laugh track where socialism is seen as a negative thing, as a way of rewarding the lazy at the expense of the hard working (When really that’s what capitalism does)
Unless this perception of socialism can be changed, we will never get Universal Basic Income or Single Payer Healthcare
