I put poly on it, then sanded it off, then procrastinated for a couple months, but today I decided it’s going to be done.
So I put a quick coat of 50/50 beeswax and mineral oil and called it a day

He actually just mastered the phrase, “three, two, one, blastoff”. (By mastered i mean it’s barely intelligible)
He was very excited to have it, I just need to diligently remind him to not bang it on stuff, I don’t know how strong the leg joints are
When every leg has been reglued three times and the nose is dented and chipped, that’s when it will have been Loved so much it will become Real.
