It’s true, sales people probably believe the stuff they say

It’s true, sales people probably believe the stuff they say

Sales should be at 100% though, as LLMs are already capable of confidently lying about a product’s capabilities
I can currently hold down a key (del or f12?) when powering on to choose between the Linux disk and the Windows disk, that’s my current dual-boot setup. I also installed each one with the other disk disconnected. I remember the Windows update rebooting into Linux unless I interrupted it too.
You say Windows was on a separate drive, but then you talk about dual booting. Do you mean that Windows was on another partition on a shared drive, or do you have two separate hard drives?
I assumed dual booting just means having multiple OSs installed, does it specifically mean having them on the same disk? I have separate disks, so hopefully no need for partitioning shenanigans.
What problem are you trying to solve?
Partly redundancy, if I mess up one then I’ve still got the other; partly for supporting people, I’ve set up non-techies on both and I want to be able to load up the same system myself when I need to help them.
Maybe I meant unauthenticated. What is this, mandatory cybersecurity education!?
I am annoyed by (but respect) APIs that take it a level further and don’t even give you a 403 to say you’re unauthorised, they just give you a 404 because anything else would acknowledge that the resource you requested actually existed

You posted in a meme community and filled your comments with emoji, I don’t imagine anyone thought you were being serious
Not to be too snarky, but was there ever an assumption that stuff you put in wasn’t being used to train it? Safe to assume that any online service you’re using is making use of the data you’re giving it.

What do people without smartphones (like the elderly) do?
I always recommend keeping those backup codes saved in the notes of whatever password manager you’re hopefully using
Wouldn’t this undo some of the security of even having 2FA? If your password manager was somehow breached the attacker would have all your passwords and your 2FA codes, right?

Openbsdm or Freebsdm though?
Is this before or after you bring out the trackball?
This is great. And an excellent lesson as to why you comment your hacks!
Is there a way to prevent my phone from being opened using my fingerprint, even in urgent situations, without completely disabling biometric authentication?
I think the simplest way in an urgent situation is to turn it off. I believe (at least most android) phones will always request the pin on boot.

I’d second this suggestion. Very simple to set up with any old android device you’ve got lying around.
The law firm that I work for is has finally decided that we should embrace Linux.
Never thought I’d read this sentence. I don’t have any recommendations, just wanted to say congrats on achieving the unthinkable!
you can just add more DE’s after install
Isn’t this advised against? I was told it was simple to do, tried it, it didn’t work, then I found loads of people saying to never do it!
I was just making a joke about sales, we don’t need to fully dissect it, but I can appreciate a desire for accuracy in my comedy so here’s a rewrite:
