Sweden is known for its social welfare system and has a long history of neutrality, but as Europe races to rebuild its military strength after Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, the Nordic country is emerging as an important player. We take a look at how Saab and Sweden’s broader defense ecosystem have become central to Europe’s rearmament, why the country was better prepared than many of its neighbors, and what its European peers can learn from it.

Sweden, the pinnacle of neutrality. For the last few years I’ve lived in a city that has canons from 1905 overlooking the fjord, to protect against their invasion as Norway broke from their reign.

But yay Saab and them now being a solid ground for European defence to build upon! <3 söta bror <3

I was so confused as to why we would have to worry about the Norwegians invading us.
