This image of Perseverance’s backshell and parachute was collected from an altitude of 26 feet (8 meters) by the NASA’s Ingenuity Mars Helicopter during its 26th flight on Mars on April 19, 2022.
The parachute and cone-shaped backshell protected the rover during its fiery descent toward the Martian surface on Feb. 18, 2021. Engineers working on the Mars Sample Return program requested images be taken of the components from an aerial perspective because they may provide insight into the components’ performance during the rover’s entry, descent, and landing.
Yeah, that’s not very typical. I’d like to make that point.
Nice.
For a sec there I thought this was pieces of the Titan submersible.

There was a fire in the skies, tell me, where were you?
You were sitting home watching your TV
While I was participatin’ in some astronomy
The first spot we hit it was a crater drop
I finally got my chute out so that I can stop
With red lights flashing, time to retire
And then we turned that shield into a crater spire
Next stop we hit it was the radar lock
It only took one ping to make that rover drop
Finally, we got our own sky crane
Where do you think I got this sample that you’re seeing today?

There are poems, and then there’s poetry!
That was simply sublime to read!
