    no idea what the joke here is, but just wanted to say that the colloquial word for a nuclear bomb in japanese is ピカドン (pikadon), with quite an interesting etymology:

    ピカ (pika) is the sound of something sparkling or glittering

    ドン (don) is the sound of an explosion, just like “bang” in english

    so in conclusion, the japanese call nukes “sparkle-BANG”

      They’re the only people on Earth who have been on the receiving end of one, so it’s interesting that their term is based on what it does rather than how it works.
