        yeah when I do decide to stop wearing cheap shit I’m probably gonna do sulfur patinated silver. Unsettlingly pale with dark hair and other accents is kind of my signature look but it’s hard to create a contrast with a bright metal. And I want something that’s going to be relatively easy to reapply at home but that’s a little more durable than simple enamel. I can already tell which ones were coated properly vs which ones were just enameled, which is wild amount of variability in quality considering they were all like $2-3.

        I’m just not sure where I’m going to get this amount of variety / character out of actual proper jewelry metals without going 100% custom and that’s just not within my means currently. I also have to get mostly split / resizable styles since my fingers are exeptionally skinny, all those split styles you see on the forefingers are brought down to like a 4 from a 6-8, and some of the other styles are split on the underside (which is less ideal since they pinch when I grasp things and I like the split to look intentional where possible)

        I also have removable nail cover rings but one of the pinkies popped off the ring and I’m waiting for a friend to make me some custom acrylics anyway. would be super cool to have some solid metal ones someday but again, not feasible right now.

          If you can find rings that fit you at places like antique shops, sterling silver (i only trust stamped 925) isnt that expensive and can be blackened by the sulfur that eggs give off: put it jewelry a container with a halved boiled egg and the fumes do the trick! It can be polished with a cloth to bring out highlights or shine :)
